About us

The Hungarian Foundry Association was established in December 1992 on the basis of the former Hungarian Foundry Society. The Hungarian Foundry Association is a social organization representing the professional interests of the domestic foundry industry, whose members include, with a few exceptions, all major iron, steel, aluminium, and other non-ferrous metal foundries. Foundries produce castings for almost all sectors of industry, public utilities, and public service companies. In addition to foundries, the association's members also include companies involved in the foundry industry, such as those manufacturing auxiliary materials, as well as companies engaged in trade and consulting. The association's core activity is to represent the interests of the domestic foundry industry, which, in addition to general employer and economic representation and mediation, also involves specific professional representation. The latter includes activities related to environmental protection and professional education, as well as the establishment and development of international relations. This also includes activities that help members access the market, which means, among other things, preparing and disseminating market information, recommending companies when there is a demand for castings, and sending out requests for quotations. In addition to representing the interests of its members, the association also plays an important role in providing services to its members, the most significant of which are as follows: – The association undertakes to organize the joint participation of its members in domestic and international supplier fairs. – Organizing conferences and workshops. – The association maintains and operates the "MÖSZIT" information search system, which is also available on the website. Anyone who conducts business in the Hungarian foundry industry can request to be included in the search engine. – The association also undertakes to prepare studies and analyses related to foundry work, and to organize informational presentations, consultations, and courses.
